Yes, Collier offers a wide selection of electives for students to explore creative endeavors. Additionally, we provide vocational courses in Cosmetology, Building Trades, and Culinary.
Does Collier have an Extended School Year (ESY) program?
Yes, Collier High School offers five tracks for ESY: Credit Recovery (new for 2024!), Personal Wellness, Work-Based Learning, Social Emotional Learning, and Job Skills Readiness. This program is designed to help at-risk students become employable and develop into contributing members of the community.

What do the service learners do?
Collier High School service learners help local communities, such as Jackson Woods and the Coastal Center, by completing volunteer projects. They have successfully run donation campaigns for organizations like Toys for Tots and assisted with beautification projects for local organizations like Jackson Woods and the Coastal Family Success Center.

Students participate in clubs for two periods every Friday throughout the year. Students can choose from a variety of clubs created by staff and students, catering to diverse interests. What are the arts like at Collier?
At Collier, students can take a variety of classes across a wide range of subjects like Studio Art, Photography, Drawing & Painting, Chorus, Video Production, and more. Besides our extensive course offerings, Collier School holds two open mic events where students can perform on stage. Students also participate in two music shows throughout the year, showcasing their work on instruments and vocals. Additionally, Collier School's drama department hosts a Fall Play and a Spring Musical.

Social Services
How often is individual and group counseling?
Students generally meet with their counselor individually at least once each week, and more often if requested. Group therapy sessions are typically held once a week.
What kind of therapeutic enhancement programs are offered?
Students at Collier High School have access to Therapeutic Enhancement Programs. These programs address issues such as school avoidance, emotional dysregulation, OCD, and trauma. Collier additionally offers Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
